That's a serious question.  Really, it is.  I'll ask it again... Are we all ostriches?  Are we so afraid to face our political "leaders" that we, like our feathered friends, jam our heads in the sand to avoid actually seeing their shenanigans?  Apparently, we do.

We are bombarded by the rhetoric of the major political party representatives, both Democrat and Republican, touting their undying faith in America, and all she stands for.  Equal opportunity, one-man-one-vote, fairness to all, equal treatment under the law... the lofty list goes on and on.  But when it comes to a challenge from someone outside that REPUBLICAT CLUB, those same political leaders will do anything to prevent that challenger from even appearing on a ballot.  Oh no, they can't allow that!  Now tell me folks, regardless of your political leanings, how "American" is that?  To deliberately prevent you, the American citizen, from having the choice to vote for someone else?  Well, it's as American as the Democrats and Republicans want it to be!

Bob Barr and the Libertarian Party will appear on the ballot in Texas because they exactly followed Texas law in order to be on that ballot.  Guess who did NOT follow Texas law - the Republicans and Democrats!  They blatantly ignored Texas law by not providing the names of their candidates before the deadline required in Texas.  They just didn't do it, period.  But guess what!  It appears that both the Democrat and Republican candidates will appear on the Texas ballot ANYWAY!  Why?  Because the Democrats and Republicans in power in Texas are pulling some hocus-pocus after the deadline to make it so!  You can read more HERE.

And there's more.  Bob Barr and the Libertarian Party will not appear on the ballot in Oklahoma... thanks to the Democrats and Republicans.  Bob will not appear on the ballot in West Virginia... thanks to ditto (see HERE).  And he's fighting to stay on the ballot in Pennsylvania (HERE), thanks again to the hypocritical major parties.

Do you think that there's ANYTHING FAIR AND EQUAL about this treatment?  Do you think the Democrats and Republicans are doing us, the American citizens, a favor by trying to keep a competitor off the ballot?  OF COURSE NOT!

This manipulation by the major parties is NOT the American Way!  I ask you, regardless of your political leanings or support for any given party or candidate, to do me, yourself, and future generations a favor.  Don't be an ostrich!  Voice your disgust with this unwarranted denial of ballot access by contacting your Representative, your Senator, and the candidate you support and letting them know how you feel.  Let them know that you want to make your own choices and not have them censored for you by someone else!
