For the first time since the Department of Defense announced it will push the tanker contract into the next administration, top level pentagon officials speak out about the process. The Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition said in a Washington Post article that Northrop Grumman's bid for the first 68 tankers was $3 billion dollars cheaper than Boeing's proposal.
